La Cité de Mirabel

Description

Largest real estate project in Quebec located in Domaine-Vert Nord in Mirabel, it gathers nearly 2,000 housing units, including condominiums and housing units in 32 buildings and forming a vast housing and commercial complex. It also includes La Halte de la Cité, a rest stop with a gas station and different restaurants.

Scope of work 

Private and municipal infrastructures :

  • Water distribution network and sanitary sewer system

  • Road infrastructures

  • Storm sewer treatment system

  • Street lighting networks

  • Drainage system 

Services provided

  • Preliminary studies
  • Analyses and production of documents to obtain certificates and permits
  • Preliminary and final plans and specifications
  • Services during call for tenders

Features and challenges

 

The challenges of the project are the infrastructures planning in a high density sector and the presence of groundwater near the surface as well as the different layers of clay. Besides linking the units to the aqueduct and sanitary sewer, the water retention infrastructures in accordance with the “Guide de gestion des eaux pluviales ’’ has been planned.
